Nicole Gleason is a graphic designer turned Functional Medicine Health Coach. As a mother of a son with two autoimmune diseases (Vitiligo and Type 1 Diabetes) health and wellness quickly became the focus for her family and years later led her to pursue a career helping others do the same.
She understands the demands of being a busy mom (she has three children) and of being a caretaker of someone with a life-threatening condition. She aims to help moms who could use a bit of a cheerleader, idea generator or just someone to talk to about how darn hard it is because she can relate. She desires to lift up weary moms who have let adequate sleep (and day time rest!), quality nutrition and time for gentle movement fall to the waste side as they just try to survive day-to-day. She works alongside her clients to explore their vision for optimal wellbeing and elicits ideas to actualize that vision through appreciative inquiry, motivational interviewing and the use of character strengths.
Nicole is passionate about passing on a healthy lifestyle to the next generation. Her desire is to empower moms to be an example to their families and to equip their children to do the same for future generations. She is a champion for healthy schools and is part of the Wellness Committee for her local school district.
She loves perfectly ripe mangos, garden fresh thyme and gorgonzola. She gets a little excited when the Williams Sonoma catalog arrives, loves gardening, and spending time with her family – riding bikes or going on hikes in the beautiful Pacific Northwest where she resides. Her top strengths include Spirituality, Love, Gratitude, Honesty and Perseverance.
